Rules are made to be broken
There are three rules for writing a novel. Unfortunately, no one knows what they are.
W. Somerset Maugham
Too many aspiring writers let the ârules of writingâ swallow them, chew them up, and spit them out.
Iâm not saying punctuation and grammar arenât important. They have their place.
But they are NOT more important than the message and/or story.
Writing is art. There are no rules. Grammar, spelling, narrative coherenceâyou can ignore them and still tell a good story.
Matt Moore
